bulgarian street art.

just wow. no, really. i think it looks so cool and so real and so clever just as much as street art should be. shouldn't i be furious or something? it is 1950s communist war monument after all. well i'm not here to talk about my political views or rather the proper treatment of monuments. hey it's just temporary probably already cleaned up with the magic of paint remover!
oh, yeah, the tag reads "going with the times"

7 rules for making more happiness

there is a small talk by Stefan Sagmeister. he talks simple and quite obvious things in his usual sagmeister way. it's about being happy and doing interesting things with a bit of statistics. reminded me about David Lynch's quote about artists and happyness – "I don't think it was pain that made [Vincent Van Gogh] great - I think his painting brought him whatever happiness he had."

central saint-martins ba graphic design degree show 2011

i also visited the saint-martin's ba graphic design degree show. it is something that really impressed me. i loved the place and the atmosphere there. i liked a lot of works and this visit became an additional motivation for me to try harder and do better. i'm currently struggling to find a right approach for putting my research and thoughts together that will work for me. but i think that i'll close this theme for now.
i find the idea of your own catalogue of the show absolutely brilliant. i'm not sure if it was a common thing or was it the invention of the show but i'm really impressed!
unfortunately some leaflets were missing, but anyway this is what i got as a memory of this exhibition.
and i got some business cards that caught my eye.
i loved the first one best of all. the person wrote his contact information on a4 sheet and took pictures of it in different environment on fujifilm instax. the instant films became the actual cards. soooo clever!
this is how it looks from the outside.
and the insides.
i really enjoyed the variety of projects.

[and loads of pics inside]

and it was just nice to get to know another meaning for my name))
[japanese mimetic word for twinkle, brilliantly, radiantly, glitter or sparkle. i'm pleased))]

trekx london exhibition.

hi all. yesterday i spent half a day in shoredich and visited some exhibitions there!
there is an exhibition space facing rough trade east shop)
i can't say that i was really impressed by the stuff inside, but there were some nice illustrations and a good video made by Ed Roberts-Graver and Ross Olivey from steam motion and sound studio, who are also the late misters. here it is.

this is an overview of the place
and ciara phelan's illustration installation.
